Wade Ackerman is a partner in Covington’s FDA Regulatory group and serves as one of the leaders of the Firm’s cross-practice Digital Health Initiative. Until June 2016, Wade served as Senior FDA Counsel to the Senate Health Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP) Committee where he handled all FD&C Act legislation, including negotiations around the recent 21st Century Cures Act. Prior to his Senate role, Wade worked in FDA’s Office of Chief Counsel (OCC) for over five years, advising FDA’s medical product programs and the Office of the Commissioner. At Covington, Wade provides clients with strategic FDA regulatory and policy advice and represents some of the industry's leading trade associations.
