Getting there

BY TRAIN - Event Ticket (Deutsche Bahn)

Dammtor mainline station is just a few steps from the BIO-Europe venue away. It links Hamburg directly with the mainline rail network of Deutsche Bahn, including ICE high-speed trains, thus connecting it with the international rail system. It is only 8 minutes’ walk from Dammtor station to the East Entrance.

The Airport is located in the Northern part of the city, in the district of Fuhlsbüttel. You can find your flight connection on the Hamburg Airport website.

Urban transport from airport to east entrance (36 min incl. 9 min. walk): 
Take Line S1 direction "Ohlsdorf" (get off at "Ohlsdorf") and change into U1 direction "Ohlstedt" (get off at "Stephansplatz"). From "Stephansplatz" it's only 700m walking distance to east entrance.

By taxi from airport to east entrance:
20 minutes depending on traffic conditions.


Hamburg Messe has good bus and rail connections with all the key areas of Hamburg. With an extensive network of rapid transit (S-Bahn) and underground (U-Bahn) lines, plus plenty of bus lines, the trade fair grounds are easy to reach from any part of the city, thanks to its good transport connections and central location.

  • Dammtor (S11, S21, S31)
  • Messehallen (U2)
  • Stephansplatz (U1)


If you come to Hamburg Messe by car or motor bike, it is best to take the motorways and exits shown under "Motorway travel". Then follow the signs to "Messe / CCH".
